About Venn

Venn is transforming business banking for Canadian entrepreneurs. As the ONLY digital banking platform in Canada offering a truly modern solution, we disrupt traditional banking practices. What You'll Be Doing

  • Tackle the company's toughest problems in various different areas (Growth, Marketing, Brand, Product Positioning, Conversions, and Lifecycle Marketing, etc.)

  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to increase both the quantity and quality of users, as well as overall conversions from channels and announcements

  • Oversee Venn's website, content strategy, customer emails, and onboarding flows to improve acquisition and retention.

  • Own and operate all social media channels, including LinkedIn, curating content and case studies for both the Venn brand and our founders to grow awareness and authority

  • Define and refine how Venn's products are perceived in the market, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with different ICPs.

  • Create and execute a strategy for blogs, case studies, email campaigns, and educational content that drive conversions and engagement.

  • Manage and iterate on our website to enhance messaging, drive conversions, and communicate product value effectively.

  • Lead go-to-market strategies and execution for new product launches.

  • Continuously test messaging, content formats, and distribution strategies to refine Venn's market presence.

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced environment in any of the following areas: high growth start-up / management consulting / investment banking OR 2+ years of experience in B2B product marketing or a similar role (startup experience preferred)

  • Analytical in nature and a hyper-logical thinker

  • A solid track record of taking ownership and leading complex projects end to end

  • A passion for data and experience with tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel to solve problems or improve processes

  • Strong understanding of product positioning, content distribution, engagement metrics, and audience growth

  • Proven ability to craft strategic messaging and high-quality content

  • Ability to analyze data, run experiments, and iterate based on insights

  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with product and sales teams

  • Desire to go above and beyond: we’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, driven to learn, and motivated to outperform expectations for the sake of their own growth as much as the company’s. We want you to think of this as a launching pad for your career

Bonus Points

  • Experience at a top-tier consulting firm or investment bank

  • Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup

Perks & Benefits

  • Healthy equity ownership, among the most generous in the market, aligning your success with the company’s growth

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
