About Gravity
Gravity is the platform public agencies use to manage budgeting, automate financial reporting, and meet compliance with confidence. From Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR) to Budget Books to GASB disclosures, we give teams the tools to move faster, work smarter, and build public trust.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our growing GovTech team and help scale the company through top-tier talent acquisition. In this role, you’ll be a strategic partner to hiring managers across Product & Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Support, and Business Systems, ensuring we attract, engage, and hire the right people to power our mission. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the candidate experience, building strong pipelines, and driving recruitment best practices as we continue to grow at pace.

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments, with a heavy emphasis on technical roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and long-term needs.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse and highly qualified candidates.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Manage candidate experience end-to-end, ensuring transparency, engagement, and alignment with company values.
  • Implement and refine recruiting processes, tools, and systems to enable scalable hiring.
  • Track, analyze, and report recruiting metrics to ensure efficiency and quality of hires.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing our culture and mission in the talent market.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a recruiter, with at least 2 years focused on technical recruiting (e.g., engineers, product managers, systems specialists).
  • Strong track record of building pipelines and hiring across technical and business functions.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment, ideally within startups or high-growth companies.
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing tools, platforms, and recruitment technology.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • A data-driven approach to problem solving and process improvement.

About You

  • You thrive in growth environments and enjoy building structure while staying adaptable.
  • You’re both strategic and hands-on — just as comfortable advising leadership as you are sourcing candidates.
  • You’re passionate about the candidate experience and see recruiting as a partnership, not just a transaction.
  • You bring curiosity, persistence, and creativity to finding top talent.
  • Above all, you care about making an impact and aligning people with purpose.

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
