What it’s like to be a Northbridge Underwriting Quality & Education Consultant

Our Underwriting Quality & Education Consultants work hard to maintain the National Underwriting Framework for all lines of business – this includes completing File Reviews, assessing training needs, and delivering of Underwriting Education Content.
 
They are passionate about developing the knowledge base of our Underwriting team nationally, and are approachable, friendly, and above all else, want to see the company succeed.
 
Given the nature of the role, and its place within Corporate Underwriting, the technical knowledge for the Underwriting Learning Consultant is at the Executive Underwriting level.

If you are great at:

  • Commercial Underwriting (Property, Casualty, and Auto)
  • Designing, developing and leading underwriting education programs
  • Technical reviews that help ensure quality and support confident, well-informed decision-making
  • Assessing the training needs and priorities to develop underwriting competency
  • Sharing knowledge and helping others flourish
  • Building relationships and motivating others

If you have:

  • 15 years of Underwriting experience, with in-depth knowledge of Property, Casualty, and Auto (with a strong Commercial focus)
  • Completion of the CIP/FCIP designation.
  • Strong relationship building background, with a team approach
  • An understanding of Adult Learning Principals is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is also an asset

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
