Calgary might be known for oil and gas, but it also saw among the fastest growth rates in technology jobs over the past several years. According to the Calgary Herald, tech employment in the city surged by 78 percent since 2019, reaching 60,000 positions and earning it the reputation of an engineer’s mecca. 

With its number of engineers rivaled only by Silicon Valley, many continue to flock to the city due to its wealth of engineering companies and the competitive salaries they offer. Below are the companies to watch.

Top Engineering Companies in Calgary

AltaML develops AI-based solutions for manufacturing and healthcare clients, among others. The company starts by conducting a feasibility assessment to identify specific machine learning and AI use cases before creating a custom roadmap to help clients improve various aspects of their business. Finally, it engineers custom generative and automation solutions.
