Build and scale distributed backend services for growth infrastructure (notifications, referrals, targeting, lifecycle communications, ML ranking). Design resilient service-oriented systems on cloud, ship well-tested production code, run growth experiments/A-B tests, improve developer tooling and shared platform capabilities, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver measurable acquisition and retention impact.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for Coinbase Payments: design and evolve high‑availability, low‑latency funds‑flow and rails systems, drive cross‑team initiatives and reliability improvements, enforce financial correctness, mentor senior engineers, and align stakeholders across product, risk, and compliance.

Build and extend smart contracts and backend services for issuance, minting, burning, reserve accounting, and rewards for custom USDC-backed stablecoins. Implement onboarding, reporting, monitoring, and internal tooling, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and write well-tested production code across backend and on-chain surfaces.

Lead global GL operations and intercompany accounting, own month‑end and quarter‑end close, manage intercompany billing, FX, eliminations and transfer pricing. Own preparation, review, and submission of recurring Canadian regulatory filings; maintain parallel IFRS books, reconciliations, and capital adequacy reporting; drive monthly management and board-level financial analysis; partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal and vendors; build scalable reporting processes, automation, and internal controls; serve as Finance's primary contact for regulators and examinations.
