Lead the technical vision and architecture of Coinbase’s FinHub financial infrastructure, including ledger, account balances, money movement, settlements, transfers, and transaction history. Drive distributed-system rearchitecture with double-entry accounting, idempotency, reconciliation, auditability, and resilient failure recovery. Lead cross-team initiatives, migrations, and technical strategy while partnering with product, finance, risk, compliance, and operations stakeholders. Mentor senior engineers and promote operational excellence and maintainability.

Build AI-driven security scanners and automation for vulnerability discovery, triage, validation, and remediation. Red team internal AI systems through jailbreak, prompt injection, and tool abuse testing. Partner with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities, verify fixes, and improve bug bounty and incident response workflows. Mentor junior security engineers on AI-augmented offensive security practices.

Lead design and delivery of backend risk systems to detect and prevent fraud, manage credit and market risk, and protect users. Drive architecture for distributed, high-availability services, partner with Data Science/ML and product teams, build AI-native detection and response systems, mentor engineers, own operational excellence, and lead incident response and post-mortems.
