The Staff Data Scientist will lead analytical strategies for Firefox, focusing on product growth, measurement frameworks, and mentoring data scientists while guiding data-driven decisions.

Design, build, and maintain scripts, APIs, integrations and agentic AI workflows for workplace systems (collaboration tools and identity platforms). Implement monitoring, automate onboarding/offboarding and access provisioning, troubleshoot reliability and security issues, document shared libraries, and partner across IT, Security, and People teams to improve user experience and scalability.

Design, develop, and maintain Thunderbird's iOS app with a focus on performance, reliability, security, accessibility, and scalability. Own projects end-to-end, debug and test across unit/integration/automation, review code, reduce technical debt, document architecture, and collaborate with product, UX, and the open-source community.

Lead product strategy and execution to build a new PC gaming product and business from the ground up. Own market research, product vision, go-to-market, metrics, and roadmaps; manage cross-functional design and engineering teams; drive product-market fit and growth; represent the product externally and align stakeholders across Mozilla leadership and partners.

Lead customer and partner go-to-market for a new browser automation platform. Identify design partners, build pipeline, run discovery and technical sales cycles, drive LOIs/POCs/pilots to commercial contracts, and shape integrations and product roadmap through close engineering partnership.

Lead design and implementation of production-grade multi-agent AI frameworks and orchestration. Develop and improve Firefox installs, updates, and OS integrations (Windows/macOS). Implement platform-specific features, fix complex bugs, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with a distributed team to deliver high-quality browser experiences.

Lead backend development and own services end-to-end: design, build, deploy, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production systems. Collaborate with frontend, CloudEng, product, and design; participate in on-call rotations, code reviews, security/privacy reviews, and mentor junior engineers to maintain reliability and quality.

Lead and mentor a software engineering team building privacy-respecting Ads (Firefox Suggest) backend services, partner integrations, experimentation, and product-facing systems. Partner with Product, Data, Privacy, and Revenue stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable production software, hire and onboard engineers, and foster an inclusive, distributed team culture while balancing privacy, policy, and business constraints.

Build, maintain, and evolve Mozilla’s Internal Developer Infrastructure Platform: CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes optimization, environment bootstrapping, and cost optimization. Lead technical decisions, create Claude skills and agentic workflows to boost developer productivity, mentor teammates, write proposals, and deliver cross-functional platform features while ensuring usability, maintainability, and safe production paths.

Lead hands-on engineering execution and people management for Thunderbolt, defining production readiness, release discipline, and engineering practices for an enterprise-ready open-source AI product across desktop, web, and mobile.

Execute digital marketing activities to grow Thunderbird's brand and users: create and publish social, blog, and email content; manage campaign calendars; track and report metrics; support email automation, surveys, and cross-functional campaign execution; and ensure consistent brand messaging.
