Position Summary:
The Account Manager, Canada is responsible for delivering profitable net sales growth and building brand market share for e.l.f., with a variety of Canadian retailers.  They will develop strategic sales plans, as well as optimize item distribution, shelf presence, off-shelf merchandising, and retail pricing. The ideal candidate is someone who embraces e.l.f.’s dynamic culture of executing with speed and quality to drive solutions. They need to be a self-starter with strong time management skills.  The ideal candidate is someone who works collaboratively with both internal and external cross-functional partners, while thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with both internal and external partners, develop and execute a sales plan for a variety of Canadian retailers that delivers net sales growth, market share growth, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with all other members of the Sales team to ensure the company’s sales and share goals are achieved and to share best practices.
  • Work with the Senior Director to develop and execute retail merchandising strategies that will simultaneously achieve both e.l.f. and retailer goals.
  • Establish, elevate, and maintain strong relationships with partners at key customers.
  • Clear understanding of dynamics of assigned accounts and local market specifics to help set overall account strategy and priorities (assortment, merchandising, tailored trade marketing calendar, etc.).
  • Effectively partner with the demand planning team to ensure a complete and timely forecast.
  • Assortment and planogram work in partnership with Space Planning and Visual Merchandising.
  • Ensure all customer requests for information are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure strong visual presence in store and on retailer.com.
  • Ability to forecast monthly as well as provide feedback on over and/or under delivery of goals.
  • Process accounting claim approvals on an on-going and timely basis.
  • Manage timely shut off of discontinued SKU's based on customer inventory.
  • Implement markdown strategies to mitigate returns risk.
  • Review all launch and promotion plans to assess correct inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising team to ensure best-in-class in store presence. merchandising and fill customers’ fixture requests.
  • General administration support requests (sending samples, listing forms etc).
  • Develop, manage, and forecast annual customer budgets and operating expenses (OPEX) to achieve company financial goals.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years sales experience within the beauty industry or CPG company, with Canadian retailers
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, goal oriented, desire to deliver results
  • Fast learner, quick thinker
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of negotiation techniques and marketing tactics
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, specifically Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Team-oriented, responsive, passion to succeed
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Demonstrates initiative, not afraid to troubleshoot on their own
  • University or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar major
  • Passion for beauty

The base salary range for this role is listed above. 
 
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
