Job Description

Blend360 is seeking an energetic and experienced Account Manager to join our team. Successful candidates will have experience managing complex and large-scale accounts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a self-starting, motivated individual who knows how to keep calm in the storm. The Account Manager will be responsible for building client relationships, owning account operations, and supporting account leaders in driving account growth. Candidates should show strong curiosity and a passion for or interest in data science and enabling techniques, tools, and technologies.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Account Oversight/Reporting  

  • Support senior client leaders by providing oversight for designated accounts  

  • Ensure operational efficiency, client satisfaction and successful delivery of services with support from senior client leaders.  

  • Monitor and report on account performance, identifying areas for process improvement, proactively recommending and implementing solutions.  

  • Track all key account activity, agreements, progress; generates regular documentation.  

 

Client Relationship  

  • Foster client relationships, serving as one of the primary points of contact and trusted advisor for client stakeholders and supporting senior client leaders in ensuring client needs are met.  

 

Delivery Oversight  

  • Monitor project timelines and resource utilization, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.  

  • Provide recommendations / solutions to problems, escalate to senior client leaders if/when needed.  

  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to develop and deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives.  

Strategy  

  • Support senior client leaders in building strategic account plans, identifying areas of opportunity, and developing related materials focused on growing Blend's presence.  

 

Contract Management  

  • Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, contracts  

Leadership  

  • Mentor and guide junior staff, providing support and training in account management best practices and career development.  

Qualifications

Education & Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, data science, or a related field.  

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or client relationship management, within professional services, data science, technology firms, or agencies; Proven track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.  

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior staff.  

 

Skills & Knowledge  

  • The ability to develop client materials such as project status, deliverable outputs, QBRs, and proposals; this often includes making complex ideas and activities simple for a business audience.  

  • Understanding of the business applications of data engineering, data science, and business intelligence concepts.  

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  

 

Technical Proficiency  

  • Familiarity with tools and software used in account management (e.g. CRM systems, project management tools).  

  • Ability to interpret and act on data to improve client satisfaction and team efficiency.  

 

Personal Attributes  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex client relationships and sensitive situations.   

  • Adaptability to change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; Highly organized with strong time management capabilities.  

  • Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.  

 

Other Requirements  

  • Availability to travel occasionally for client meetings
