About the Role

In this role, you will build trusted, long‑term customer relationships while supporting complex energy projects from early planning through execution. You will act as a central point of coordination, helping customers navigate connection and interconnection processes, understand technical and commercial requirements, and access solutions that support their operational and growth goals.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects move forward efficiently and customer needs are clearly understood. You will contribute to meaningful work that supports reliable electricity service, customer growth, and Alberta’s evolving energy system.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the main contact for a portfolio of industrial and generation customers

• Guide customers through the electricity connection process, including projects connected to both the distribution and transmission system

• Work with customers to understand their energy needs and identify practical options that support their operations and growth

• Develop and manage account plans for key customers, including regular check‑ins and account reviews

• Coordinate internally to resolve billing, metering, and service delivery issues

• Support project teams by addressing customer questions and commercial considerations throughout project delivery

• Assist with the development and negotiation of commercial arrangements related to connection and wires services

• Apply contract and investment analysis using approved tools and processes

• Maintain accurate customer and project information, including commercial terms and project status, in Salesforce

• Support customers in using ATCO’s online customer tools and resources

• Identify service delivery issues and work with internal and external partners to improve processes and customer experience


What You Bring

• Diploma in Business or Engineering Technology; a degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Economics is an asset. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Minimum three years of experience in account management, customer service, or project coordination within the energy or utility sector

• Understanding of electric distribution systems, utility billing, contracts, and tariffs is an asset

• Experience using CRM tools; Salesforce experience is an asset

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to travel periodically (approximately 25%)
