The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position is part of the Corporate Accounting team and plays a key role in daily cash management and journal entry processing for both internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Generate bank reconciliation reports for a wide variety of entities including U.S. and Canadian dollar bank accounts
Daily cash management, cheque deposits and bank account cash clearing
Collaborate with team and other departments to complete month-end accounting activities, including journal entries and balance sheet analysis
Inter-affiliate invoicing and Intercompany settlement process
Respond to audit queries and other requests for information
Completing special projects and ad hoc analysis as required
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
2 or more years or progressive related experience
Progressing towards obtaining a Professional accounting designation (CPA)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with counterparts in the Company
Keen attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement
Proven team player, successful in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships
Advanced knowledge of Excel, with ability to optimize Excel models
Experience working with SAP, BPC, Workiva, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI considered an asset
