The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position is part of the Corporate Accounting team and plays a key role in daily cash management and journal entry processing for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do

  • Generate bank reconciliation reports for a wide variety of entities including U.S. and Canadian dollar bank accounts

  • Daily cash management, cheque deposits and bank account cash clearing

  • Collaborate with team and other departments to complete month-end accounting activities, including journal entries and balance sheet analysis

  • Inter-affiliate invoicing and Intercompany settlement process

  • Respond to audit queries and other requests for information

  • Completing special projects and ad hoc analysis as required

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • 2 or more years or progressive related experience

  • Progressing towards obtaining a Professional accounting designation (CPA)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with counterparts in the Company

  • Keen attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement

  • Proven team player, successful in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, with ability to optimize Excel models

  • Experience working with SAP, BPC, Workiva, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI considered an asset
