Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in accounting, finance, economics, or a related at an accredited post-secondary institution

Responsibilities
-
Participate in the identification, development, and implementation of technical solutions, process improvement, and cost saving opportunities
-
Perform and assist with period-end financial duties and reporting through: compiling information and numbers, preparing presentations, performing variance analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations

Collaborate within and outside of the finance organization to support business processes

Support our credit team with credit reports and the parental guaranty process for counterparties

Assist in the vendor audit process for cost recovery from vendors while utilizing a real-time attest approach

This is an 8, 12 or 16-month work term starting in May 2025

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W. or out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote challenges associated with the region
