AltaGas - Analyst, Condensate & Oil
Reporting to the Director Condensate, Oil and Marketing - the Analyst, Condensate and Oil supports internal stakeholders to maintain, improve, and expand business operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate logistics associated with condensate and crude oil and also working closely with the Traders, to monitor, understand and optimize the business
You will:
- Maintain a strong understanding of condensate, crude oil, and refined products market fundamentals and present business impacts to the Team
- Support condensate and crude oil traders by updating monthly production and pricing data
- Monitor daily and monthly condensate truck scheduling, reconcile daily actual receipts vs forecast, and project month-end long/short position(s)
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate trucking logistics
- Review, maintain and assist with third-party transportation agreements;
- Manage Government reporting for imports and exports
- Work collaboratively with the Scheduler (Oil Supply and Marketing) to develop an understanding of crude oil pipeline scheduling
- Provide coverage for crude oil pipeline scheduling when required
You have:
- Bachelor's Degree - Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering preferred
- 3+ Years of commercial operations experience with a focus on NGL, Condensate, Crude Oil and LPG markets;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Ability and aptitude to excel in an unstructured work environment;
- Independent, accountable, and with strong attention to detail; and
- Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; self-motivated to deliver exceptional results; and a focus on maximizing team performance
