AltaGas - Coordinator, Management of Change (MOC)

AltaGas is seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative Coordinator, Management of Change (MOC) to support and administer the MOC program for our Midstream division. In this role, you will help ensure operational, engineering, and procedural changes are clearly defined, risk‑assessed, approved, and executed using established processes and systems.

Working closely with Operations Engineering and cross‑functional teams, you will play a key role in prioritizing MOC work, coordinating technical reviews, resolving routine issues, and keeping multiple changes moving forward efficiently and accurately. As the primary administrator of our Power App‑based workflow and a key contributor to the rollout of the Maximo MOC module, you will help drive consistency, documentation quality, and integration with our work management and engineering practices.

You have:

  • Administer and coordinate the end‑to‑end MOC process for the Midstream division in alignment with established governance, standards, and procedures.
  • Review, screen, and analyze incoming MOC requests to ensure completeness, clarity, risk classification, and proper technical review scope.
  • Work with Operations Engineering to prioritize incoming MOCs and support optimal use of engineering resources.
  • Track and manage MOC progress, dependencies, timelines, and follow up with contributors to support timely completion.
  • Coordinate technical input from engineering, maintenance, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure each change is accurately defined and properly supported.
  • Facilitate communication across disciplines to ensure alignment and consistent application of MOC requirements.
  • Provide guidance to field and technical staff on when MOC applies, how to initiate it, and documentation expectations.
  • Maintain accurate links between MOCs, Maximo work orders, procedures, drawings, and process safety information.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of the Maximo MOC module through user input, testing, and issue identification.
  • Create and maintain MOC records, reports, and dashboards to track workload, overall status, and compliance indicators.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring MOC documentation is complete, accurate, and traceable.

You will:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; post‑secondary education in Engineering Technology or a related field is an asset.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, or Process Safety within midstream, pipeline, gas processing, or petrochemical environments.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting or administering MOC programs.
  • Experience with process safety information (e.g., P&IDs, electrical or instrumentation drawings) and operations documentation.
  • Familiarity with Maximo or similar CMMS; experience with workflow tools such as Power Apps is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to field locations as required.
  • Strong understanding of MOC principles, risk management, and operational safety.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to work across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy and process integrity.
