AltaGas - Lead - Financial Analyst, FX and Capital Markets
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Analyst, FX and Capital Markets to join our Treasury team, focusing on the strategic management of our foreign exchange exposure and supporting our capital markets activities. This role is critical in managing our financial risks and optimizing our treasury operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in foreign exchange strategy, currency derivatives, capital markets transactions and financial risk management.
You Will:

  • Analyze and manage foreign exchange exposures to minimize financial risk and optimize performance

  • Develop and implement strategies for currency derivatives, including forwards, options, and swaps

  • Conduct thorough assessments of currency risk and develop mitigation strategies

  • Provide support for capital markets transactions through project leadership, preparation of transaction materials and liaising with internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making

  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimize financial strategies

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

  • Work closely with other departments to provide insights and recommendations on foreign exchange and financial matters

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial analysis and or trading, with a strong focus on foreign exchange and currency derivatives

  • In-depth understanding of capital markets transactions and relevant regulatory frameworks

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with regulated utilities is a plus
