Job Description

AltaGas - Specialist, Commercial Planning

AltaGas is seeking a Specialist in Commercial Planning to support the coordination of information from Commercial functions and ensure the execution of medium and long-term Commercial Business plans (1-3 years). This role is essential for maintaining unified and integrated front, middle, and back-office operations for real-time visibility and efficiency, meeting approved performance measures, and delivering business results. The Specialist will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives, including Asset Team Performance and Integrated Business Planning.

You will:

  • Build and maintain detailed financial/economic evaluation models.
  • Support the Asset Team annual processes and budget, monitoring performance to achieve desired Commercial Business results.
  • Enhance front, middle, and back-office processes and communication.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Team to develop medium and long-term Commercial Business plans.
  • Monitor Commercial Business performance, identify potential risks, and coordinate action plans to mitigate them.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and insightful presentations for executives, key stakeholders, and the Board
  • Build analytics tools to ensure effective reporting on the performance of Commercial Value Drivers.
  • Improve and simplify systems and tools; liaison for improvement between S&D and Allegro.
  • Support building tools and processes to streamline analytical and planning workflows
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance Commercial Business execution.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional designations with 8+ years in the oil and gas industry
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Allegro and Anaplan is an asset.
  • Action-oriented, performance-driven, strong interpersonal skills, highly structured and organized, exceptional planning abilities, strong analytical skills, ability to excel in an unstructured work environment, and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
