Founded in 1994, Silent-Aire is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. What you will do:
The Assistant Controller is responsible for supporting the Regional Plant Controller by overseeing daily
accounting activities, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reviewing journal entries,
and assisting with financial planning, while also ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards and
regulations.
How you will do it:

Responsible for ensuring development and maintenance of monthly PPV forecasting and variance analysis reports.

Support inventory and procurement with quarterly standard cost rolls. Confirm current pricing of materials identified for cost changes.

Identify and effectively communicate significant changes in PPV with inventory, procurement, project accounting and plant controller.

Work closely with RTR team to review journal entries prior to month end.

Assist with financial statement preparation during month end. Confirm internal SAGE statements tie to OneStream and are free of errors.

Own the analysis and explanation of changes in SG&A expenses against plan.

Support the plant controller with monthly reforecast against plan.
-
Maintain working papers utilized to forecast 18-month balance sheet and provide commentary to JCI corporate around changes in trade working capital.

Assist plant controller with populating monthly operations slide deck.

Manage the creation of annual SG&A budget.

Support project accounting and plant controllers with internal and external audits.
-
Remain SOX compliant and follow internal rules and regulations around delegation of authority.

Assist with implementation of new policies, procedures, or systems.

Remain up to date on overall activities of the organization. Understand what units are being built in each production facility.

Work with project accounting, production supervisors and plant controller to control costs and drive efficiencies.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance. Time spent in a previous cost accounting role will be viewed as a benefit.

Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
-
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management with varying degrees of financial knowledge.

Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail required. High degree of initiative and flexibility required to successfully accommodate deadlines.

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Adaptable and flexible to a dynamic business environment.
This will be a hybrid role at our Nisku site.
