Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Director, Analytics and Insights, the Associate Director Analytics and Insights role requires strategic thinking and analytical expertise to provide critical contributions to brand strategy, launch and life-cycle planning, forecasting, and senior management decisions.  You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive insights plan considering, clinical, medical affairs, and market access initiatives.  You will grow with your team to support expanding market analytics needs. This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leads, designs, and executes primary market research projects with HCPs, patients, and payors.

  • Initiates and facilitates activities that enhance colleagues’ knowledge regarding the relevant market and potential product attitudes, usage, market dynamics, and competition (for example, development of treatment flows, target product profiles, opportunity assessments, and market landscape research).

  • Shares the voice of the community (e.g., physicians, patients, payors) to the organization by maintaining and communicating a holistic understanding of the marketplace synthesized from primary and secondary sources.

  • Communicates and aligns key internal stakeholders around market research and analytics objectives and outputs including qualifying the results based on the strength of the data and identifying limitations.

  • Develops and presents timely final reports and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, focusing on key findings and relevant implications to each stakeholder group, and senior leadership.

  • Translates data and information into compelling insights and recommendations. Effectively communicates insights and leads meetings with commercial leaders and other cross-functional business partners.

  • Shapes situation analysis as a part of launch planning to provide a comprehensive understanding of the market. Partner with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales (when appropriate), access, medical, and finance to provide a clear view of the market.

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes, and relevant market and managed care dynamics.

  • Exhibits analytical rigor in the valuation of business opportunities and the quantification of risk.

  • Participates in cross-functional teams to gather input for functional activities, and ensure alignment e.g., with clinical development, medical affairs, and investor relations.

  • Delivers operating expenses within budget.

  • Travels as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of progressive experience in a commercial function in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or strategy consulting, and 4+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, and primary research.

  • Experience in market development, new product launches, and competitive intelligence.

  • Extensive primary research and secondary analytical skills required; ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth.

  • Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meet the needs of a growing business.

  • Strong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of research and analytical vendors, study designs, and building quality research vendor partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners. 

  • Proven experience in a smaller, rapidly growing, company.

  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.

  • Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well: strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a tolerance for ambiguity, and a passion for helping cancer patients.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA with 6+ years of progressive experience in commercial pharmaceutical /biotech industry, and 4+ years of experience in strategic analysis, planning, and primary research.

  • Targeted Oncology product experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience developing launch and long-range forecasts.

The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the base pay salary range for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.

Please note that base pay salary range is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
