Job Overview
We are looking for a Mobile Game Animator to bring characters, environments, and effects to life in engaging and visually stunning mobile games. You will work closely with designers, developers, and artists to create fluid animations that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and user experience. If you have a passion for animation and mobile gaming, we’d love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities
- Animate characters, creatures, props, and environments for mobile games.
- Create 2D or 3D animations that align with the game’s artistic style and mechanics.
- Implement animations into the game engine (Unity, Unreal, etc.) and optimize for performance on mobile devices.
- Work closely with game designers and developers to ensure animations enhance gameplay and storytelling.
- Develop smooth, dynamic, and visually appealing motion cycles, attacks, cutscenes, and UI animations.
- Optimize animations to ensure fluid performance on mobile devices.
- Collaborate with the VFX team to enhance visual effects with animated elements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mobile game animation.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in 2D or 3D animation tools such as Spine, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
- Experience working with game engines Unity
- Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, squash & stretch, anticipation).
- Ability to optimize animations for mobile performance and efficiency.
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing your animation skills.
- Experience with UI/UX animation and motion graphics
- Passion for mobile gaming and storytelling through animation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with procedural animation or physics-based animation.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting (C#, Python, or JavaScript) for animation implementation.
- Ability to create VFX animations for in-game effects.
- Familiarity with mobile game monetization and engagement strategies.
