THE POSITION

The Central Assurance Advisor will be responsible for helping lead and support the key priorities of Keyera’s OEMS and Assurance processes which includes Framework, Standards, Self-Assessments, Audits/Metrics and Management Reviews.  The successful candidate has a great opportunity to broaden their leadership skills and understanding of the role of Assurance processes within Keyera and how OEMS helps deliver key business outcomes. The Central Assurance Advisor, reporting to the Assurance Team Lead, is accountable for serving as the primary point of contact for their facilities in matters pertaining to the Assurance Program. Through effective facilitation, collaboration and communication, the Assurance Advisor plays a key role in maintaining a centralized Assurance Program approach across Keyera.   

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own and champion the established expectations for the processes that senior managers expect the organization to utilize in managing their business processes. 
  • Manage the documents that capture the specific requirements and expectations. 
  • Support the organizational units with Self-Assessment process to get in compliance with expectations of Keyera OEMS.      
  • Verify the processes are being followed as designed by using Self-Assessments, Audits, Inspections and Metrics. 
  • Support the assessment of each individual process effectiveness to help adapt to the changing needs of the organization and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure alignment of facility and department assurance processes. 
  • Recognize the need for continuous improvement and initiate efforts to explore alternative solutions. Seek and use input from diverse sources to generate alternative approaches. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment and passion for industry leading Health and Safety performance. 
  • Ambassador of Keyera’s Cultural Behaviors, Values, Accountability Framework, and someone that is truly passionate about making these attributes of Keyera foundational. 
  • Partner and collaborate with Learning, Health and Safety and Process Safety Teams to synergize efforts and support Assurance Processes. 
  • Collaborate with Keyera Internal Audit group to stay aligned.
  • Coordinate and manage the Assurance KPI’s and metrics and support reporting.
  • Support Assurance Team Lead with following Standards that support Assurance Processes.
  • May be required to act as Process Owner for relevant Standards. 
  • Work with Assurance Team Lead to determine scope of OE audits and self-assessments for calendar year. 
  • Coordination of annual Management Review Process and participate with facilities.  Support development of annual summary report. 
  • Work with Assurance Team lead to ensure new Advisors, Process Owners, Leaders and Stakeholders receive introductory training and sufficient support to enable their success

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 5+ years of in oil and gas industry/midstream experience in areas such as processing facilities and pipelines. 
  • Post secondary training or certification; trades or powering engineering certification preferred. 
  • A highly motivated self-starter who has diverse and broad skill sets and is flexible and collaborative in nature. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical, reporting, conflict resolution, problem solving and facilitation skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel including international travel
