Job Description:
Position: BA Treasury - IRRBB
Experience: 12-16 years
Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore / Chennai
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Business Analyst within the Intraday liquidity program.
Markets Treasury is the market-facing arm of Treasury, sitting within the Global Banking and Markets business. It has a presence in each of our client's operating entity and has responsibility for managing the bank’s liquidity, funding and interest rate risk. Markets Treasury trades Money Market, FX, Fixed Income securities and derivative products, facing Group Affiliates and Counterparties as principal for the bank.
The role is for a business analyst based in India, working closely with the Intraday Liquidity team, including its Global Head, with the primary responsibility for performing business analyst tasks. This includes, however, is not limited to, strong documentation skills and being comfortable in interpreting business requirements into technical deliverables. This aspect of the role is very important as the candidate will need to be familiar with cash management, intraday liquidity and Treasury. This will include having a good understanding of how cash forecast projections and real time monitoring of cash are managed within a Bank. To be successful the candidate has to be comfortable with managing and interpreting all types of data, as well as being self-sufficient and being able to operate in a team environment.
The role holder will be supported by representatives in the following areas:
- Global Head of Intraday Liquidity
- Intraday Liquidity Program Director
- Intraday Liquidity PM
- Markets Treasury team & working group members across operating entities
- Functional project teams (IT, Ops, Finance, Risk, Legal)
- Group Treasury (including ALM)
Key examples of responsibilities:
- Working with stakeholders of internal systems and defining the right data attributes to support effective cash management processes
- Working closely with the Bank’s Intraday Liquidity SME to help define and implement the Bank’s strategy around cash management
- Articulating business requirements into technical deliverables
- Testing and signing off on technical deliverables
- Maintaining accurate records and being comfortable in providing updates as required
- Ensure dependencies with other functional areas are fully considered, planned for and delivered against when delivering
- Liaise with key stakeholders as necessary
- Maintaining and updating procedures
Requirements/ Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- Degree level education preferably with a professional qualification and with substantial experience (ideally 5- years+) in a markets business or related industries either within company or with a relevant market competitor.
- Excellent team player with proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Treasury or Cash Management experience with focus on Intraday Liquidity and/or Funding topics
- Familiarity of major global FMI’s including both payment and security settlement systems
- Familiarity of front to back Financial Markets processes and infrastructure
- Strong background in acting in a business analyst capacity
- Comfortable engaging both verbally and in written form with stakeholders
- Excellent MS Suite product knowledge.
