The BlackLine Specialist is responsible for the continuous development, and optimization of the BlackLine platform across the global finance organization.
The role acts as the bridge between Finance, IT, and implementation partners, ensuring that BlackLine solutions support an efficient, standardized and automated financial close process. The Blackline Expert drives the implementation of new BlackLine modules, identifies automation opportunities, and continuously improves the end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) process.
Following the initial implementation, the Blackline Specialist will work on the global rollout of additional BlackLine capabilities while ensuring governance, user adoption, and platform stability.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Implementation
  • Support the implementation of new BlackLine modules and functionalities.

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.

  • Configure BlackLine based on approved solution designs.

  • Prepare and execute system and user acceptance testing (SIT/UAT).

  • Support data validation and migration activities.

  • Assist during Go-Live and Hypercare phases.

Functional Development

Support the rollout and enhancement of BlackLine solutions, including:

  • Account Reconciliations

  • Journal Entry

  • Studio360

  • Variance Analysis

  • Other BlackLine modules introduced as part of the Finance roadmap

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual finance activities.

  • Support process improvements within the Record-to-Report process.

  • Participate in system enhancements and new functionality rollouts.

  • Assist in evaluating new BlackLine capabilities.

Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or ERP projects.

  • Experience supporting finance applications or ERP implementations is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of financial close and Record-to-Report processes.

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is desirable.

  • Previous exposure to BlackLine.
