  • Define and track KPIs, including conversion rates, adoption, and product usage.
  • Prioritize requests, keeping business strategy front and center.

Translate into Action

  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and wireframes for new reports, dashboards, and analytics tools.
  • Manage delivery in JIRA, aligning developers, analysts, and business partners.

Enable Data-Driven Decisions

  • Work with Data and revenue operations to develop and maintain self-service dashboards (using Amazon QuickSight) and automate reporting.
  • Analyze data using SQL, Excel, QuickSight, and Mixpanel to uncover insights and recommend optimizations.

Own Analytics Implementation

  • Support the implementation and rollout of Mixpanel for CRM analytics and user journey tracking.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure accurate event tracking and actionable reporting.

Project Management and Process Improvement

  • Track progress, resolve blockers, and deliver analytics initiatives on schedule.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in data and reporting workflows.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Present findings to executives, product leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Build consensus and serve as a key liaison across Product, Marketing, Sales Ops, Finance, and Data.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in SaaS or tech environments.
  • Proven skills gathering and documenting requirements, defining KPIs, and building reports.
  • Hands-on experience managing complex work in JIRA or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable with SQL, Excel, Amazon QuickSight, and Mixpanel (or similar tools).

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
