We are looking for a collaborative and influential Business Analyst for our Internal Systems Team as a part of our Head Office operations.  You can be based out of Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, or Calgary. You will work proactively with our clients to identify opportunities, scope problems and co-create potential solutions that solve business problems. Owning the discovery phase, you will elicit, understand, assess, and document the business requirements, processes and reporting needs to ensure successful delivery of data modernization projects. From facilitating Scrum rituals to leading efforts for continuous improvement, you will work closely with our development teams, removing roadblocks, creating user stories, and establishing and managing process. Your strong communication and coordination skills will promote a high functioning team environment by managing expectations and adapting to stakeholders’ preferred project management methods.  

 

A Day in the Life:

    A Day in the Life:

    • Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, developers, technical team members and designers
    • Coordinate with the product owner or product manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the project roadmap and Azure boards
    • Act as Scrum Master, ensuring the development team is working effectively, clearing obstacles, and leading scrum ceremonies
    • Elicit project requirements by meeting with a variety of stakeholders from the C-suite to end users
    • Ensure the functional requirements are tracked, achievable, and met
    • Set up project with right ticket workflows and boards
    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, ensuring they are brief, focused, and timely
    • Schedule and run the sprint planning and grooming meetings and track ticket assignments
    • Manage Scrum artifacts
    • Promote a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear or judgment, with an emphasis on problem solving and conflict resolution
    • Keep the development teams accountable to deadlines and targets
    • Manage the release cycles for multiple products
    • Monitor and report on sprint progress and deliverables through metrics and retrospectives
    • Support and encourage the team to make decisions, get help when needed, and take ownership of their commitments
    • Act as a funnel point for information transfer to minimize distractions and interferences

What You Bring:

    What You Bring:

    • 5+ years of business analysis or project management experience
    • 3+ years of experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies
    • Strong technical capabilities with broad experience in software development and/or enterprise infrastructure
    • Effective interpersonal skills including experience with mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
    • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and tool sets and test automation
    • Experience facilitating daily Scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings
    • What Makes You Extra Awesome:

      • PMI-ACP, CSM or equivalent 
      • Working experience with D365
