Business Development Lead – West

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the continued development and growth of TWD’s Strategic Clients portfolio, specifically those aligned with the West (Alberta) Sales targets and the existing West Client base. This includes identifying new business opportunities and relationships within the region.

- Support the growth and development of TWD’s Strategic Clients portfolio aligned with the West Sales targets and the existing West Client base within both the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
- Contribute to regional business development efforts, including sales initiatives, relationship building, and proposal development

- Develop and strengthen existing client relationships to drive growth and achieve regional sales targets.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets.
- Provide input to annual sales and marketing plans, including forecasts, campaign planning, and strategic client engagement initiatives.
- Lead opportunity capture planning, including competitor analysis, positioning, and win strategy development.
- Lead and produce strategic proposal/qualifications/presentation submissions, which include reviewing the qualifications, identifying the team and strategy, preparing submittal and tracking results
- Collaborate with technical and project delivery teams to align client needs with TWD capabilities.
- Represent TWD at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance visibility and strengthen the company’s market position.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity tracking and reporting within CRM tools.
- Lead in and support TWD’s culture of being a “Seller-Doer” for the West Region
- Conduct NPS feedback calls for strategic projects to gather client insights and identify improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or PMP considered an asset).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to develop new client relationships and grow existing accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading proposal and pursuit efforts for multi-discipline engineering projects
- Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills with an ability to identify and anticipate potential risks.
- Ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Project) and SAP are assets.
