Build the market for the next era of cattle ranching.

eShepherd is changing what's possible in cattle and grazing management through virtual fencing technology that gives producers greater flexibility over their animals, land and time.

Now we're looking for a proven Business Development Manager to help turn that technology into commercial growth across Canada.

Open doors, build trust with producers and create opportunities that grow eShepherd's presence across the Canadian market.

With the backing of an established global agricultural business, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how eShepherd grows across Canada.

If you've built markets, won new business and know what it takes to earn the trust of agricultural customers, this is an opportunity to make your mark.

The opportunity

This is a true business development role.

You'll build and convert a strong pipeline of cattle producers, taking ownership of opportunities from the first conversation through to negotiation and close.

But great agricultural sales isn't transactional.

You'll spend time with producers understanding how they manage cattle, grazing, labour and land. You'll uncover where opportunities exist, demonstrate what eShepherd can make possible and develop solutions that deliver real value to their operation.

As we grow, what you're learning in the market will matter. You'll bring customer insights, challenges and opportunities back into the business, helping us strengthen how we take eShepherd to market across Canada.

What you'll do
  • Build and convert a high-quality pipeline of cattle producers.

  • Proactively prospect and create new business opportunities.

  • Build trusted relationships across Canada's cattle and agricultural industries.

  • Understand producers' operations, challenges and commercial priorities.

  • Demonstrate eShepherd and translate the technology into a compelling business case.

  • Own opportunities from prospecting through proposal, negotiation and close.

  • Maintain disciplined CRM, pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Work with Customer Success to support onboarding, adoption and long-term customer value.

  • Represent eShepherd at agricultural events and industry forums.

  • Bring customer and market insights into Product, Marketing and commercial decisions.

What you'll bring

First and foremost, you know how to develop business.

You're commercially driven, comfortable creating opportunities from scratch and know how to build credibility with agricultural customers.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Proven success in business development, solution sales or territory sales.

  • A strong track record of winning new customers and delivering revenue growth.

  • Knowledge of beef cattle, livestock production, grazing management, AgTech or agriculture.

  • Experience building a territory, customer base or new market.

  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence navigating complex sales opportunities.

  • Excellent prospecting, relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Strong CRM, pipeline management and forecasting discipline.

  • A practical, adaptable and results-driven approach.

  • Confidence working autonomously across a large geographic territory.

  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, including overnight travel.

Experience within AgTech, animal health, livestock technology, animal nutrition, agricultural equipment or precision agriculture would be particularly valuable.

Why eShepherd?

This is an opportunity to take genuinely innovative technology to Canadian cattle producers while helping build a market with significant potential.

You'll have the ownership and opportunity that comes with a growing AgTech business, backed by the strength of an established global agricultural company.

You'll be close to customers, trusted to take ownership and encouraged to bring what you're learning from the market back into the business.

If you know how to build a market, win new business and earn the trust of agricultural customers, come help us build what's next for eShepherd in Canada.
