Keyera is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join the Liquids Infrastructure team in the Calgary office. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Business Development Representative will help lead and pursue strategies resulting in meaningful business opportunities for the Liquids Infrastructure Business. The role requires the successful candidate to provide leadership to internal teams and be responsive to external customers. RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeping apprised of industry trends, regulations and policies while ensuring Keyera is positioned to support infrastructure needs based on those trends.
Leading contract negotiations for new projects and assessing how existing contracts may integrate with new business opportunities.
Work collaboratively with Keyera’s engineering team to progress through all phases of a project including the conceptual phase, initial scoping, detailed engineering, business readiness and project execution.
Prepare and present new opportunities for Keyera senior leadership to receive internal approvals for contract and capital spend commitments.
With support from Keyera’s corporate development group, build and develop economic models to justify investment decisions including emissions implications.
Work effectively with customers, partners, operations, logistics, financial analysts, commercial business units to develop new opportunities.
Executing business strategies, identifying technical and commercial opportunities, and progressing ideas through to real projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of industry related experience.
Previous business development experience in areas such as renewable energy, natural gas processing, refining, marketing, NGL’s, petro-chemicals, refined products and or rail and truck terminal operations, etc.
Related post-secondary education.
A track record of successfully progressing ideas through to sanctioning and implementation.
Technical, operations and project experience could be considered an asset to assist in developing and advancing new opportunities, especially in the low-carbon, NGL or gas processing space.
Entrepreneurial mind set (open minded, willingness to take risk, resilient).
The right candidate will be a relationship and bridge builder; not only externally with customers and partners, but also able to navigate the organization and rally the appropriate corporate resources behind critical business initiatives.
