About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Sales Pipeline, you will be on the front lines of our sales process responsible for strategically sourcing (outbound) and qualifying sales opportunities at targeted accounts though our account based marketing (ABM) program.

As a BDR, you will be working with Account Executives and marketing to strategically target key accounts as well as researching/developing accounts on your own to prospect into (outbound via video, email, phone and social). You will be conducting high level conversations with Sales and Marketing Executives to drive new business and achieve your monthly quota of qualified sales opportunities.

About the Team

Our Business Development team consists of a diverse mix of individuals based in Canada. As the primary outbound pipeline generation team, the team works both collaboratively and independently to bring about qualified new business opportunities. Centered around a culture of accountability, resourcefulness, and tenacity, the Business Development team also works closely with the Sales Development team and our sales teams.

What You’ll Work On

  • Construct strategic B2B account prospecting lists and target them.
  • Examine data around existing free users of our tool and work to convert them to paying customers
  • Build consultative relationships with Marketing & Sales leaders to understand wants/needs of an organization.
  • Leverage video, phone, email, and social selling techniques to breakthrough to prospective customers.
  • Own weekly and monthly goals centered around activity & pipeline generation.

As a BDR You Can Expect to:

  • Be exposed to a high volume of various outbound pipeline generation activities that will afford you the opportunity to hone your skills as a salesperson.
  • Have daily interaction with your direct manager, teammates, or both, with a major focus on skill and career development.
  • Network with fellow BDRs as well as SDRs, AEs, and Sales leaders in our tight-knit and collaborative sales organization.
  • Have designated pathways forward that will help foster your career growth within our sales organization.
  • Work closely with the Account Management Team to drive strategic upsell opportunities.
