The Opportunity!
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will report directly to the Director of Business Intelligence and collaborate with Senior Executive Leadership. Your primary responsibility will be to transform raw data into actionable insights using Power BI. By working closely with business stakeholders, you'll create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards that support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in Power BI, and proficiency in using SQL in large datasets to deliver actionable insights.
Core Competencies -

Undergraduate program with a Major in Business Accounting, Computer Science or Math

Proven experience as a Power BI Data Analyst or in a similar data analysis role.

Solid understanding of SQL for querying and configuring data.

Self-motivated with a strong interest in learning about the insurance industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Collaborative team player with a willingness to assist others.

Enthusiastic about learning and being mentored by experienced professionals.

Ability to work independently as needed.

Strong prioritization and time management skills.

A positive, team-oriented attitude focused on continuous learning.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).

Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities -

Proficiency in Data Visualization and Dashboard Development (Microsoft Power BI - Intermediate level)

Expertise in Data Warehousing and advanced SQL, with a focus on creating analytical queries

Advanced SQL development
-
Python knowledge for data analysis and automation tasks

Experience with Power Automate for flow development

Familiarity with API integration (PowerShell, REST APIs) is a plus
-
Knowledge of designing and developing data marts, views, and BI semantic layers for governed reporting and self-service analytics.

Ensure data quality and integrity through regular validation and troubleshooting of discrepancies.

Support business users by providing training and guidance on utilizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
