About this opportunity:

The Business Solutions team supports the Cenovus Land and Well Management Ecosystem, including its applications, integrations, business processes, data analytics and corporate reporting.

This role, within the Business Performance team, focuses on technical solution development, reporting, data analytics, data governance and performance insights. You will work closely with business users, Business Solutions teams and IT to deliver effective solutions across the Land and Well Management Ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide data governance, data engineering, scripting and integration support.

  • Build and configure dashboards, report visualizations and complex operational/corporate reporting.

  • Analyze technology options, develop custom apps and implement performance solutions.

  • Develop strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders, anticipating issues and managing expectations.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly, facilitating meetings and ensuring effective outcomes.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, change management and performance insights.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in petroleum, computer science, business, business analysis or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in application support, business process analysis and/or project management; experience with vendor-hosted applications is an asset.

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas sector or equivalent industry experience.

  • Proficient in business analysis practices including requirements gathering, validation, testing, facilitation, change management and process/data modeling.

  • Proficient in data management, analytics, reporting tools and visualization (e.g., Microsoft Suite, PowerPlatform, PowerApps, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Business Objects, Spotfire, Databricks).

  • Understanding of the Land and Well domain, processes, and systems.  (e.g., WellView, SiteView, LandView, Generwell, Execute, CS Land, StackDX).
