And our employees rate SambaSafety as top-notch, with a rock solid Top Rating on Glassdoor.
What You’ll Do:
Enterprise Applications Strategy
- Develop and execute the long-term strategy for SambaSafety’s business application ecosystem.
- Own the roadmap and end-to-end delivery across Salesforce (with CPQ), NetSuite, Zuora, ADP, contract lifecycle management, and the integrations between them. This includes designing how data moves source to target, such as how product and billing data feed these systems.
- Continuously evaluate architecture, processes, and workflows to find and prioritize improvements, proposing them before the business has to ask.
- Drive application scalability, reliability, and business agility as the company grows.
- Set and defend priorities in a high-demand environment, sequencing work so the business understands what is being done, why, and in what order.
Corporate IT & Employee Technology
- Own corporate IT operations end to end. This covers endpoint management, networking, helpdesk, identity and access administration, collaboration and productivity tools, and office technology.
- Manage the full device lifecycle for Mac and Windows endpoints through a modern device management (MDM) platform. That lifecycle runs from procurement and zero-touch enrollment through patching, configuration, and retirement.
- Run corporate networking across offices and remote work, including Wi-Fi, firewalls, remote access, and internet and carrier relationships.
- Lead the service desk with published service levels, a self-service knowledge base, and a modern IT service management platform, such as Jira Service Management.
- Administer identity and access, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and automated provisioning. Tie onboarding, role changes, and offboarding directly to the HR system (ADP) so access is granted and removed automatically. This removes manual steps and closes the access gaps that often appear when someone leaves.
- Own SaaS and license management, IT vendor contracts, and the IT budget. Consolidate overlapping tools and cut unused spend.
- Implement and operate the technical controls that Security & Compliance defines for endpoints, networks, and identity, and produce the evidence needed for SOC 2 and other audits.
- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for corporate systems.
- Support offices, conference rooms, and hybrid meeting technology so in-office and remote employees can work together without friction.
Business Partnership & Product Mindset
- Partner closely with leaders across Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Operations, and Technology to understand business priorities and translate them into technology capabilities.
- Run enterprise applications and IT as products, with employees as the customers. Focus on user experience, adoption, and measurable outcomes, not only ticket volume or system uptime.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on how technology can accelerate growth and operational excellence.
- Lead change and communication as a core part of the job. Bring business leaders along on the why and how of the roadmap. Clear communication, more than technology, is the hardest part of this transformation.
- Seek out manual, repetitive work across the business and replace it with automation, rather than waiting for it to be reported.
Technology Leadership
- Lead and mentor teams responsible for business systems, architecture, application delivery, and IT operations.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, speaking fluently with engineers, architects, and executive leaders alike.
- Establish practical standards for architecture, integrations, governance, IT service management, and platform lifecycle management. Keep those standards lean enough that they speed teams up rather than slow them down.
- Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work with the data and analytics team on shared platforms and technologies, converging on common tooling rather than building parallel stacks. The business systems and the data environment depend on each other.
- Partner with product-engineering leaders to align the standards and technologies used to build software across the company.
AI & Emerging Technologies
- Partner with the CTO to share the load of moving SambaSafety into the AI era quickly and successfully. Help set the company’s overall direction for AI across business systems, IT, and operations.
- Industrialize AI. Take the agents, automations, and Cowork jobs that individuals are building tactically, and own the path from experiment to production and enterprise scale.
- Apply AI and automation to IT operations. Examples include resolving routine helpdesk requests, automating access requests and provisioning, and catching device and network issues before employees notice them.
- Own the rollout, administration, and adoption of enterprise AI tools for employees, so people have the access and guidance to use them safely and productively.
- Run the business-systems environment as the fast lane, where more capable tooling lets new patterns mature and scale quickly. Then align and promote proven patterns alongside product engineering for use in customer-facing software.
- Work within the company’s independent security, compliance, and responsible-AI governance, contributing to those policies while driving measurable value from AI investments.
- Help define shared AI standards and technologies so the business and product-engineering teams build in a consistent, supportable way.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience leading enterprise business applications and corporate IT organizations.
- Experience owning and scaling complex business application ecosystems, including:
- Salesforce, including CPQ
- NetSuite
- Zuora
- ADP or comparable HRIS, contract lifecycle management, and the integration layer connecting these systems
- Experience leading corporate IT operations, including:
- Endpoint management for Mac and Windows (e.g., Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Kandji)
- Corporate networking: Wi-Fi, firewalls, SD-WAN, and remote access
- Service desk operations and IT service management tooling (e.g., Jira Service Management)
- Identity and access management (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Entra ID) and automated provisioning
- Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration
- A track record of running IT for a cloud-first, SaaS-heavy company with a hybrid workforce.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on technical depth in data and integration architecture. Candidates should be able to own source-to-target design and engage as a peer with engineering and architecture teams, not only direct vendors.
- Experience building product-oriented operating models within corporate technology or business systems organizations.
- Practical experience taking AI capabilities (agents, automations, copilots) from experiment into production at scale, not only piloting tools.
- Exceptional communication and change-leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize ruthlessly in a high-demand environment and bring the business along on the why and how.

- Experience implementing AI strategies across internal business functions, including AI-assisted IT support.
- Familiarity with subscription-based business models and quote-to-cash ecosystems.

- Experience partnering with an independent security function to implement technical controls on endpoints, networks, and identity.
- Experience integrating the IT and business systems of acquired companies.
- Familiarity with IT service practices such as ITIL, applied lightly and without adding bureaucracy.
- Familiarity with a modern cloud data platform (e.g., Snowflake) and AWS.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- A prioritized roadmap covering business systems and IT is published and in execution, and the business is aligned on what is being done and why.
- Manual processes that have run for years are measurably replaced by automation.
- Business users get the right information at the right time, with faster decisions and less waiting on reports and requests.
- The IT basics are dependable and measured:
- New hires are productive on day one.
- Helpdesk service levels are published and met.
- Employee satisfaction with IT is tracked and improving.
- Onboarding, role changes, and offboarding are automated from the HR system, with no manual access gaps when people leave.
- There is a complete, accurate inventory of devices, SaaS applications, and licenses, and redundant tools have been retired.
- A meaningful share of routine helpdesk requests is resolved through self-service or AI.
- The technical controls defined by Security & Compliance are in place on endpoints, networks, and identity, and audit evidence is produced without a last-minute scramble.
- There is a repeatable, working path from AI experiment to production, and several capabilities have already been scaled into the environment.
- Shared AI and integration standards are aligned with product engineering and the data team.
Reporting & Team
- Reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
- Is a peer to the leader of the independent Security & Compliance function.
- Security and compliance remain independent and out of scope by design. This role partners with and contributes to that function, and operates the controls that function defines.
