We are actively seeking a Commercial and Marketing Representative to join our Business Development and Commercial team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Commercial, this role supports commercial operations through market analysis, reporting, and coordination activities that contribute to trading, optimization, and strategic business decisions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the execution of commercial strategies and marketing initiatives across the business.

Essential Functions 

 

Commercial Activities  

  • Assist in structuring and coordinating commercial agreements and negotiations across Business Units  

  • Identify opportunities to optimize flows, costs, and netbacks through market insight and cross-functional coordination  

  • Support and develop relationships with midstream counterparties and third-party providers  

  • Perform market and commercial analysis to support upstream, downstream, and optimization decision-making  

  • Contribute to commercial evaluations, including open seasons, counterparty assessments, and strategic initiatives 

  • Support commercial initiatives in collaboration with Business Development and Operations teams  

Marketing & Reporting  

  • Support gas desk execution, including daily balancing responsibilities and participation in on-call weekend rotation as required

  • Support daily trade and tracking, including historical and forecasted volumes  

  • Track gas flows, nominations, and related operational data including liaising with operations  

  • Assist with pricing visibility and market monitoring  

  • Support monthly settlement activities and accruals, including responding to questions and investigating discrepancies  

  • Maintain transportation tracking and contract records  

  • Ensure contracts and operational data are accurately reflected in tracking tools and reports  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Up to 5 years of relevant industry experience in commercial operations, marketing, midstream services, energy analytics, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered
