Reports to:                       TBR National Sales Manager

Job Purpose

The Territory Sales Manager TBR is responsible for all dealer & fleet sales, support, education, and marketing of all Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) tires in their assigned territories. The position is also responsible for being the “Regional Expert” on all TBR matters as requested by Executive Management or National Director at the instruction of the TBR National Sales Manager.

Strives to achieve assigned district/area sales goals through the effective management of sales representatives. This position is at the first level of sales management. A major emphasis of the job is on management with a largely tactical focus. Support staff may be limited.


Position Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Primarily responsible for building and maintaining business relationships with dealer and fleet customers.
  • Support customers through the sales and purchase process while handling the administration of but not limited to: Pricing, Category Tire Orders (TBR), COOP funds and distribution, POP, Advertising, etc.
  • Trade Show Requests, Special Discount Requests, Product Testing, Signage, and all follow up on paperwork required as per Hankook policy and procedures.
  • Required to plan and execute allocation of work time in the field with servicing commercial dealers, dealer sales personnel, and fleet accounts.
  • Plan, schedule, and participate in special events, expositions, product training, trade shows, dealer or fleet meetings as agreed to by management.
  • Serve as a regional representative for all TBR matters as assigned by management.
  • Prospect new commercial dealers in collaboration with other Territory Managers.
  • Enter performance data for analysis by TBR Marketing
  • Travel expectations, 8 days per month. 4 days per month in B.C. market, 4 days for month outside home territory in Alberta.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.

  • Tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities.
  • Ensure people follow new processes put in place.
  • Dealing with ad hoc needs that continuously arise while working towards timelines for other projects.
  • Able to spend 80% of worktime traveling within Alberta and British Columbia Region.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in sales, specifically in the tire industry.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time.
  • Experience with Excel and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver’s license.
