Reporting to the Manager, Retail Sales & Service Communications, the Communications Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end development and execution of operational communication plans that support internal engagement across Retail Sales & Service audiences. They are also responsible for managing Retail Sales & Service communication channels. This role requires strong writing and planning skills to deliver communications that drive awareness, understanding, and connection across the organization. It requires strong attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
How you will create impact:
- Create operational communication plans to support internal business partners.
- Lead the execution of all plan elements, ensuring projects are successfully delivered on time.
- Write and edit content for a wide range of communication initiatives and mediums, e.g., internal publications, video scripts, intranet, etc.
- Manage logistics of Retail Sales & Service communication channels, e.g., leader calls, town halls, online communications hub, etc.
- Support critical issues communications.
To join our team:
- At least 3 years of business experience providing communication consultation, planning expertise and project management skills, to a variety of corporate projects and initiatives.
- Proven experience in the development and execution of communication strategies, with demonstrated results.
- Highly skilled writing, editing and research skills; the ability to perform these tasks quickly and to deadline.
- Strong attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary information
Expected salary/hourly range $60,574 - $100,956 (min-max, full range)
Salary placement
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Incentive/Variable pay
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
