Summary:

We are leading a search for a Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team within the Content and Communications Team. This role is available to candidates in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto.

What your team does:

Clio’s Corporate Communications team knows how to tell a story and get people excited. We cut through the noise and shape Clio’s brand awareness, credibility, and public perception. We work with media, influencers, and the growing #legaltech community to amplify Clio’s impact. Our team is responsible for public relations, thought leadership, and corporate messaging that engages audiences both inside and outside the company.

Who you are:

You’re a detail-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You love crafting compelling narratives, building connections, and spotting opportunities to elevate brand storytelling. You’re a proactive planner who can juggle multiple tasks, from coordinating interviews to drafting press materials. You stay ahead of trends, love organizing information, and have a sharp eye for what makes a great story.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Media list management – Maintain and update media contact lists to ensure accurate, targeted outreach.

  • Interview coordination – Schedule and manage media interviews, prepare briefing materials, and handle logistics for seamless execution.

  • Media pitching – Support outreach to journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage for Clio’s key initiatives.

  • Press material drafting – Draft press releases, briefing notes, and pitch materials; collaborate with creative and social media teams for alignment.

  • Story scouting & opportunity identification – Monitor industry trends and media conversations to identify opportunities for Clio’s spokespeople.

  • Content support for internal & external communications – Assist in developing newsletters, announcements, employee updates, statements, FAQs, and public-facing materials.

  • Media coverage tracking & reporting – Monitor media mentions, assess impact, and compile reports highlighting key placements.

  • Administrative support – Help coordinate internal and external meetings, manage communications workflows, and assist with ad hoc projects.

What you may have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in communications, public relations, or media relations.

  • Strong writing and skills with the ability to craft compelling stories.

  • Experience managing media lists, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews.

  • Experience working cross functionally on teams for internal and/or external communications planning.

  • Ability to track, analyze, and report on media coverage and PR performance.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The full salary range* for this role is $59,800 to $70,400 to $81,000 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
