As a Consulting Integrity Optimization Engineer you are responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products that effectively manage fired equipment integrity. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
 

As a Consulting Integrity Optimization Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Providing consultative services related to the integrity optimization management of fired equipment that includes performance and reliability optimization, fitness for service and remaining life assessment, risk assessment, and failure analysis.
  • Providing technical and training consulting services with respect to CorrectIR application and implementation, including management of assigned client licenses.
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to junior Assessment Engineers
  • Engaging in and contribute to business development within Process Inspection and other business teams as requested.
  • Seeking out technical knowledge independently that establishes industry credibility and subject matter expertise in fired equipment by presenting and participating in industry recognized conferences, training and events.
  • Maintaining proficiencies in other Advanced Engineering and Process service roles as applicable (e.g., Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, Laboratory testing, FEA and Assessment Engineer, FTIS Inspector) and provide project support for other business teams as requested.
  • Supporting products and development of software applications related to the integrity optimization management of fired equipment (e.g., LifeQuest Heater, LifeQuest Reformer, CorrectIR) by working closely with the software business team.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a B.S degree. Engineering degree or applied science degree, 5 years experience in process industry “preferred”
  • Have knowledge of internationally recognized design codes and industry standards on inspection and assessment services for process equipment, including API and ASME.
  • Have excellent ability to represent the company in a professional manner with regard to communicating and interfacing with clients and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Be capable of making decisions/recommendations which can have immediate or time dependent consequences associated with process equipment optimization.
  • Be able have the ability to travel internationally up to 33% of the time.
  • Have excellent computer skills; traditional software applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and easily adapt to proprietary software applications.
  • Be customer focused, have an excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Be willing to comply with customer requirements for the use of respirators while on site performing inspections, the candidate must be willing to remove facial hair.
  • Have experience programming using any language “preferred”.
