About the role
The Content Acquisition Manager fosters relationships with our Japanese partners and the promotion of account relationships. You will work with internal team members across Business Affairs, Marketing, and Legal.
You will:
- Communicate with Japanese and international partners/licensors regarding production schedule.
- Negotiate deal terms with Japanese and international partners/licensors to secure contents.
- Explore opportunities to grow and foster distribution partnership.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure contractual obligations are performed.
- Analyze industry trends and market dynamics.
- Implement solutions and reporting summaries.
- Assess content value.
- Manage digital assets and marketing materials.
We are considering applicants for the location(s) of Culver City, CA and Dallas, TX.
About You
- 5+ years of Agency or Entertainment based account management experience.
- You have experience working with Accounting, Royalty Statements, Production, Marketing.
- You have passion for Anime, Japanese culture, and the Entertainment industry.
- You have experience owning end to end projects, seeing it through to implementation and iteration.
- You have International experience, operating in an asynchronistic work environment.
- You are service oriented.
About the Team
Manager of Content Acquisitions will secure a pipeline of content to satisfy Crunchyroll’s seasonal simulcast slate and catalog lineups, while strengthening its relationships with our Japanese partners’ teams and augmenting our reputation as the most trusted international distributor for Japanese anime abroad. Knowledge of the Japanese anime industry, strong communication skills, ability to challenge status quo within the industry, and attention to detail are necessary to succeed in this position.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
