About Hubstaff

At Hubstaff, our mission is to empower people to have their most productive workday. We do this by providing the industry-leading workforce analytics and time tracking platform for remote and distributed teams.

We've been fully remote for over a decade—long before it became a trend—and we continue to believe that remote work represents the most significant shift in the modern workplace since the advent of the PC. Our platform helps more than 200,000 global users track time, gain visibility into work, manage schedules, and automate payments with transparency and accountability at its core.

We're a product-led company with a winning culture, strong momentum, and a long-term vision: to become an essential part of every remote company's tech stack. And we're just getting started.

The Role

We're hiring a Content Marketing Strategist to join our Demand Generation team.

This is a full-time, remote role where you'll create compelling content that helps customers discover, understand, and choose Hubstaff.

Your primary focus will be writing high-quality long-form content—including blog posts, landing pages, product pages, and website copy—that drives organic growth across both traditional search and emerging AI-powered search experiences.

You'll partner closely with SEO, Product Marketing, and Design to execute an established content calendar while also contributing to social media, campaign messaging, and paid advertising.

If you're a strong writer who enjoys learning complex software products, thinking like a marketer, and creating content that drives measurable business impact, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do
  • Create high-quality blog posts, landing pages, website copy, product pages, and other long-form content that educates customers and drives business growth.

  • Become an expert in Hubstaff's products, customers, and brand voice to create clear, engaging, and accurate content.

  • Execute against an established content calendar while partnering closely with our SEO Manager to improve search visibility and AI discoverability.

  • Refresh and optimize existing content to improve performance, engagement, and conversion.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Design, and the broader Marketing team to create consistent messaging across campaigns and customer touchpoints.

  • Manage Hubstaff’s social media presence by creating content, paid advertising copy, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaign messaging.

  • Monitor content and social media performance, stay current on industry trends, and continuously improve how we create and distribute content.

What You Should Have
  • 2–4 years of experience in Content Marketing, Copywriting, Content Strategy, or a similar B2B marketing role.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, supported by a portfolio of long-form content.

  • Experience writing for B2B audiences.

  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and how content supports organic growth.

  • Ability to write across multiple formats, including blogs, landing pages, social media, and campaign copy.

  • Experience publishing content through a CMS such as WordPress or a similar platform.

  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Curiosity, ownership, and the ability to quickly learn new products and industries.

  • Experience working successfully in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Nice to Have
  • Experience writing for B2B SaaS companies.

  • Agency copywriting or content marketing experience.

  • Experience writing paid advertising or campaign copy.

  • Experience managing or contributing to a company's organic social media presence.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console.

  • Experience using AI tools to improve content workflows while maintaining strong editorial quality.

  • Experience creating content optimized for AI-powered search experiences.

What you need to know about the Calgary Tech Scene

Employees can spend up to one-third of their life at work, so choosing the right company is crucial, not just for the job itself but for the company culture as well. While startups often offer dynamic culture and growth opportunities, large corporations provide benefits like career development and networking, especially appealing to recent graduates. Fortunately, Calgary stands out as a hub for both, recognized as one of Startup Genome's Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems, while also playing host to a number of multinational enterprises. In Calgary, job seekers can find a wide range of opportunities.
