This role is ideal for someone ready to step in, take ownership of contract equipment packages, and help drive major projects forward. This is an excellent opportunity for a keen go-getter who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving problems, and wants to make a tangible impact on high-value projects.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of contract equipment packages from award through delivery
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of materials and equipment to meet project schedules
- Collaborate with Procurement and Project Management teams to align deliveries with key milestones
- Work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve technical and commercial issues
- Expedite supplier documentation and manage submittals
- Coordinate inspections, respond to RFIs, and provide regular updates to the project team and client
- Review and approve payment applications on behalf of Client
- Issue Change Orders, Change Directives, and Site Instructions in accordance with client processes
- Ensure compliance with contractual delivery terms and overall project requirements
Requirements:
- 6 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or commercial roles within project-based environments (or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience managing contracts from start to finish, in either construction, engineering, infrastructure, or water and wastewater projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of how construction projects come together—from shop drawing reviews through construction, start-up, commissioning, and closeout
- A natural team player who can adapt to changing priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and stay calm when working with a variety of stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A good grasp of contract terms, commercial agreements, and risk allocation (you don’t need to be a lawyer!)
- A get-it-done, keen go-getter attitude with a proactive, forward-thinking mindset
- Someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to move things forward
- Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
