Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Controller will manage full-cycle accounting and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial reports. The Controller plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, optimizing accounting processes, and supporting overall business objectives.

Contract Duration: August 17, 2026 – August 31, 2027

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

  • Prepare reconciliations, reviewer-level entries, and variance analysis.

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.

  • Administer the distribution of financial packages to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure the accounting system and processes are efficient and effective in supporting financial reporting and tax preparations.

  • Optimize sales tax reporting.

  • Coordinate and oversee external audits and liaise with auditors to address findings.

  • Perform other duties, special projects, and ad hoc assignments as reasonably required to support the Finance department and the organization's operational objectives.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other members of the Finance team.

You will thrive if you:

  • Have a CPA designation with 7-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Are knowledgeable about IFRS and/or US GAAP.

  • Have previous experience working with Sage Intacct.

  • Comfortable working in a multi-entity environment with intercompany transactions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Are detail-oriented and meticulous — you take pride in knowing the details and are obsessed with accuracy.

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Have the ability to organize, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Can deliver results independently and while working with a team.

  • Are able to communicate effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
