You will

  • Define meeting agendas, prepare meeting minutes, support setting and maintaining schedule and budget for each project as a member of the project team
  • Work as part of the overall Development Team collaborating with construction/ sales & marketing/ leasing, finance and accounting maintaining communications with the team at all stages
  • Perform administration duties as required by the Development team - prepare correspondence, file, coordination of meeting minutes, assemble and manage request for proposals -, contracts and invoicing
  • Liaise with various consulting firms on all the items related to planning, design, environmental, legal and municipal
  • Assist in taking projects through the approvals process and helping to obtain all necessary permits
  • Research general info on development issues and prepare summaries
  • Complete due diligence required for projects
  • Ensure decisions are made in a timely manner with input from the development team
  • Deliver work on budget and on time
  • Travel as required to “kick the dirt” to know your projects

 

You have

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing the planning, design, approval and construction phases – multifamily residential projects preferred, ideally in the City of Calgary.
  • Proven success managing Development within the multifamily sector
  • Analytical aptitude – the ability to compare data, information and crunch numbers
  • A university or college degree, or training in planning, architecture, engineering, business or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel. Previous experience using MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Yardi will be considered an asset
  • Access to a vehicle for visiting project sites, consultant offices and municipalities
