AltaGas - Corporate Compliance Manager
Join us as a Corporate Compliance Manager in this exciting individual contributor role and be at the forefront of ethical excellence! Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Compliance, you'll take charge of the dynamic Code of Business Ethics (COBE) program, ensuring it thrives across AltaGas and its subsidiaries. In this critical position, you'll shape the future of our program governance, develop robust policy frameworks, and ensure we meet all regulatory requirements. Your leadership will foster a culture of integrity, as you oversee crucial business ethics investigations, making a tangible impact on our organization.
You Will:

Support the corporate compliance program at AltaGas Ltd. and its subsidiaries, including the ongoing integration of and improvements to the program across the enterprise

Develop, implement, and enhance the company’s ethics and compliance framework to ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies

Assist in policy lifecycle management, including periodic reviews working closely with policy owners, to assess policy effectiveness and recommend improvements, updates, and archival processes

Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, and permissions related to corporate policy development and governance

Oversee company-wide programs for compliance reporting and related investigation processes, and recommend appropriate improvements in prevention, detection and investigation of non-compliant activities

Collaborate with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other business units to address ethics-related concerns and develop risk mitigation strategies

Responsible for tracking and advising on trends, best practices and internal metrics regarding the compliance program and the company’s COBE

Design and deliver ethics and compliance training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring awareness of ethical standards and reporting mechanisms
You Have:

7+ Years experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk management roles, preferably in the energy or utility sector required

Experience leading and managing sensitive investigations with a high degree of professionalism and discretion

Ability to be versatile and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior officers

Bachelor's Degree in business, law, ethics, compliance or a related field required

Master's Degree or professional designation such as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional CCEP preferred
