About this opportunity:

The Commercial Logistics Integration Specialist will play a pivotal role within our Downstream Commercial team, using expertise in business analysis, commodity trading, and logistics to drive the successful delivery of innovative Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) solutions.

As the primary logistics liaison between business and solution development teams, you will translate complex business requirements into precise system specifications. Additionally, you will support and train team members, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop comprehensive business scenarios, ensuring end-to-end requirement traceability to validate system performance, functionality, and alignment with commercial objectives

  • Partner with key collaborators to drive integrated decision-making, ensuring that interdependent processes and solutions align with industry standard methodologies, compliance requirements, and efficiency standards

  • Collaborate in documenting detailed business processes, system workflows, and operational procedures with a high degree of accuracy and scalability across Commercial Operations.

  • Develop high-impact user guides and training materials, supporting seamless User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post launch adoption

  • Collaborate with Front Office teams to manage logistics data, daily position reporting, month-end volumetric reconciliation, trade book balancing, and inventory management within the ETRM system

  • Act as a key team member in system evolution, driving improvements and application upgrades based on user feedback and business needs

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field

  • Prior experience working on large scale ETRM system implementation projects with cross-functional business and development partners

  • 12+ years working as a business or scheduling specialist or equivalent with experience working in and supporting commercial commodities including process documentation

  • Understanding of multi-commodity Canadian and US transaction lifecycles with an emphasis on trades, nominations and scheduling, inventory, and risk management.

  • Knowledge of energy trading and risk management processes across front, middle, and back-office groups at a trading organization operating under an exposure and P&L environment

  • Knowledge of Canadian and US crude and diluent pipeline, rail, and marine modes of transport

  • Proven track record of tracking and resolving system defects to support a timely launch

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
