Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
- Develop and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and tools to safeguard sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with CMMC requirements and manage the protection of CUI.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization to reduce manual effort and minimize errors.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with CMMC requirements and handling of CUI.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM) are a plus.
