Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
  • Develop and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and tools to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with CMMC requirements and manage the protection of CUI.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization to reduce manual effort and minimize errors.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with CMMC requirements and handling of CUI.
  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM) are a plus.
