About the Job:

As a Principal Consultant at Capco you will be playing a key role in the delivery of projects and development of new business opportunities, working on client site to deliver change initiatives for leading clients across Financial Services, particularly the Capital Markets space.

This team is focused on supporting data remediation efforts through hands-on, technical contributions. You will be working directly within the risk management and data processing lifecycle, applying technical knowledge to assess, remediate, and close out data concerns as part of the Data Concern Remediation (DCRM) process. This is a technical, individual contributor role, where you will be expected to not only guide the process but actively engage in the work.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Lead Technical Execution: Provide hands-on leadership in assessing and remediating data concerns within the DCRM lifecycle. You will lead by example, guiding others while being directly involved in technical work.
  • Technical Risk Management: Own the Assess, Remediate, and Closure phases, ensuring data concerns are identified, remediated, and closed out effectively using DCRM frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather data, define remediation strategies, and drive improvements in risk management processes.
  • Agile Pod Participation: Lead or actively participate in agile pods, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint execution. Ensure the technical work is progressing as planned and that risks are mitigated.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Constantly assess the risk management process, identify opportunities for improvements, and implement enhancements to optimize operational efficiency and speed.
  • Accelerate Commitments: Ensure that remediation efforts are aligned with acceleration commitments and this isolated population of Data Concerns are prioritized to ensure the bank meets regulatory commitments.

What you’ll bring with You:

  • 8+ years of consulting experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking related businesses 
  • 6+ years of management consulting experience.
  • Proven track record in project-oriented Change Management and Business Development
  • Deep knowledge of data management - including data remediation and data governance.
  • Complete understanding of the Trade Life Cycle including corporate actions, collateral management, confirmations and any other post trade processes
  • Full understanding of different types of products and processing requirements for most asset classes, with bonds and repos being an important plus
  • Analytical ability to evaluate the root causes of the problems and aptitude to understand complex workflows
  • Experience in conducting project migrations / conversions is required
  • Ability to understand institutional Broker-Dealer businesses, control infrastructure and technology impact
  • Proven track record of high-quality delivery across the project lifecycle
  • Solid stakeholder management, including advising and influencing clients as it relates to processes
  • Exposure to different methodologies and approaches (e.g., PMP, Prince 2, Agile, Waterfall)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven team leadership experience, people and team development
  • Ability to use their own initiative to take pro-active decisions and make tangible progress
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to varying levels of client stakeholders
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including the use of MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work on a range of different business areas as a consultant
  • Bachelor’s degree
