The Data Steward will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance within Salesforce while integrating with other platforms across OpenX’s AdTech ecosystem. This role will also be instrumental in improving data models, reporting accuracy, and automation to enable scalable and efficient decision-making.


The ideal candidate is a Salesforce expert with deep experience in the AdTech landscape, programmatic advertising, and data governance. They will play a key role in streamlining buyer and seat mapping, enhancing attribution models, and improving cross-platform data synchronization to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Data Governance & Integrity
  • Establish and enforce data governance best practices within Salesforce to improve data integrity, accuracy, and consistency​.
  • Lead the clean-up, structuring, and automation of buyer and seat mapping processes​.
  • Design and maintain data models that align with business objectives and evolving AdTech strategies​.
  • Define guiding filters and validation rules to ensure accurate data entry and enforce system-wide integrity controls​.
  • Implement data lineage tracking and auditing for compliance with SOC2, GDPR, and SOX regulations​.
  • Salesforce Optimization & Cross-Platform Integration
  • Partner with RevOps, Finance, and Product teams to ensure Salesforce is accurately capturing and reporting revenue and performance insights​.
  • Develop and manage automated workflows and integrations to streamline data exchange between Salesforce, JsonDB, Seismic and other systems​.
  • Work closely with IT and system owners to optimize Salesforce integrations with internal platforms and data warehouses​ (Curation Platform, Seismic, ADP, BQ, etc.)
  • Create and maintain Looker, Salesforce, and Jira dashboards/reports that provide real-time insights into revenue, buyer behavior, and inventory performance​.
  • Data Quality Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain data integrity dashboards to monitor data completeness, logical consistency, and reporting accuracy​.
  • Work with Analytics and Commercial teams to enhance deal source tracking, forecasting, and buyer performance reporting​.
  • Implement proactive monitoring systems that detect discrepancies in revenue, spend, and buyer data, minimizing operational disruptions​.
  • Partner with Product teams to define taxonomy and naming conventions that standardize platform data structures​.
  • Process Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Lead cross-functional data governance meetings to ensure alignment on Salesforce enhancements, data accuracy, and reporting needs​.
  • Establish and document best practices and training for Salesforce data entry, governance, and reporting​.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations to improve deal attribution models and optimize buyer segmentation​.
  • Drive Salesforce enhancements that improve reporting transparency for internal stakeholders, publishers, and advertisers​.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience & Industry Knowledge
  • 4-6 years of experience in data stewardship, revenue operations, or Salesforce administration, preferably in AdTech, programmatic advertising, or digital media.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, and integrations with enterprise systems.
  • Experience working with programmatic advertising data (e.g., buyer-seat mapping, inventory forecasting, deal tracking)​.
  • Familiarity with SOC2, GDPR, SOX, and other data compliance requirements.
  • Technical Skills
  • Expert-level Salesforce skills (Admin and/or Developer certifications preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Looker, and Google BigQuery for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with ETL processes and API integrations between Salesforce and AdTech platforms.
  • A plus is a strong knowledge of Python or other scripting languages to automate data processes.
