We are looking for DBA Engineer
Your main tasks will be:

  • Optimizing the performance of the database infrastructure (queries, indexes, locks, CPU/RAM/disk resource usage, etc.).
  • Solving performance issues within short timeframes, supporting business-critical services.
  • Analyzing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Diagnosing and resolving performance issues.
  • Carrying out routine database administration tasks (deployment and support of SQL Server infrastructure, including instances and databases, backup and recovery, security, monitoring, maintenance, data integrity checks, index and statistics maintenance, etc.).
  • Optimizing administration processes for multiple SQL Server instances.
  • Creating and maintaining replications (transactional, snapshot, merge), working with Always On and Log Shipping.
  • Collaborating with backend/devops/infrastructure teams on shared tasks.
  • Updating production systems with patches in automatic and, less frequently, manual mode.
  • Assisting other departments with data retrieval.
  • Participating in the design of data storage architecture and scaling approaches.

    We expect from you:

    Hard Skills – Must Have

    • Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server architecture and internals.
    • Expert-level experience with SQL Server versions 2016–2019.
    • Practical experience optimizing high-load systems and identifying performance bottlenecks.
    • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL, including writing and optimizing stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers.
    • Understanding of indexes, locking, isolation levels, transaction management, waits analysis, deadlock analysis, tempdb optimization, ability to read and analyze execution plans.
    • Knowledge and ability to apply SQL query, stored procedure, and function optimization techniques.
    • Experience with built-in diagnostic tools such as SQL Profiler, Extended Events or Query Store, usage of DMV/DMF.
    • Experience with SQL Server setup, migrations and upgrades.
    • Experience with HA/DR solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping).
    • Ability to identify architectural and logical issues in database structure and code.
    • Experience troubleshooting production incidents.
    • Fluent Russian and intermediate (B1) or higher English level

    Hard Skills – Nice to Have

    • Basic knowledge of and experience with MongoDB and ClickHouse.
    • Experience with SQL Server 2008+, 2022, 2025.
    • Experience creating and supporting SQL Server replications (Transactional / Snapshot / Merge).
    • Knowledge of PowerShell (including the dbatools module).
    • Experience with monitoring and observability systems (Zabbix, Grafana).
    • Experience with version control systems.
    • Knowledge of Windows Server administration.
    • Experience with partitioning, compression, and archiving strategies.
    • Experience with 24/7 mission-critical systems.
    • Ability to quickly understand and work with existing code.

This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
