Position Summary:
Reporting to the Program Director, Food Services, this position, as part of the interdisciplinary team is responsible for completing comprehensive client assessments considering both client safety and nutritional needs. Key responsibilities include; using comprehensive clinical assessment skill and standard screening/assessment tools to determine appropriate texture and/or therapeutic diet to meet client needs and nutritional requirements. This position develops client care plans that incorporate input from interdisciplinary team members, the client and current clinical knowledge and best practices. In keeping with Carewest policies and practices and Professional College of standards practices, this position is responsible for documenting and maintaining all aspects of nutritional care in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for other related duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduation from a recognized degree program in Foods and Nutrition;
- Completion of recognized internship program
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta required;
- Registration with Dietitians of Canada an asset
