Job Description:
The role involves working as a Digital Architect to support digital transformation and service modernization initiatives within agile product delivery teams. The candidate will be responsible for leading solution architecture, designing scalable and user-centric digital services, guiding technical teams, reviewing code, and supporting the implementation of modern software solutions. Responsibilities include defining architectural strategies, managing integrations, contributing to cloud and modernization efforts, supporting DevSecOps practices, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. The role also requires collaboration with UX and service design teams, mentoring developers, preparing technical documentation and presentations, and participating in continuous improvement of architecture practices. The position is primarily remote within Canada with occasional onsite meetings, and candidates should possess strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and communication skills.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience leading cross-functional agile product teams
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Architect in solution design and delivery
Experience working with UX design, service design, and digital delivery teams
Strong expertise in solution architecture and modernization projects
Experience with APIs, RESTful services, and system integrations
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and Infrastructure-as-Code
Experience modernizing legacy systems into digital platforms
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with secure development and DevSecOps practices
Ability to create architectural documents, diagrams, and technical presentations
Public sector digital service framework experience is preferred
Must be eligible to work within Canada
Criminal record check and higher-level security clearance may be required
