The mission of the Digital Technology Department is to design, build, deliver and operate robust, efficient, and scalable Performance Marketing technology solutions that align with our strategic, business and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Digital Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for delivering everyday luxury experiences to Aritzia’s clients by leveraging technology to meet and exceed the vision and mission of the business. As the Director, Digital Technology, Performance Marketing, you will oversee the design, development, implementation, and support of Aritzia’s Performance Marketing technology. This role will be a critical part of the cross-functional Digital, Support, and Marketing leadership teams, including Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Omni, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and Creative. THE ROLE

As the Director, Digital Technology, Performance Marketing, you will lead the team to:

  • Manage and coach the Performance Marketing Technology Team to ensure solutions are delivered within an acceptable timeframe and are of high quality
  • Partner with Digital delivery teams to own the backlog and roadmap of APIs required to support their work
  • Partner with our Enterprise Platform Engineering Teams to adhere to our enterprise standards
  • Implement structured testing that ensures functionality, identifying and addressing deficiencies
  • Work with our other platform teams to define a low-touch deployment approach for APIs
  • Focus on the automation and DevSecOps practices to help streamline quality rollouts
  • Provide features that unlock business value while delivering excellent end-user experiences.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Director, Digital Technology, Performance Marketing has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in:
    • Products within our enterprise platforms to build integrations (including Apigee X, Google Cloud Functions and SAP CPI Cloud Foundry)
    • Products within our Performance Marketing stack including SAP Service Cloud, SAP Emarsys, SAP Customer Data Cloud, SplashThat!, Twilio, Feedonomics and Google BigQuery
    • Architecting integrations and APIs using technologies such as Java, JavaScript and TypeScript
    • Designing & developing scalable, secure, reliable integrations to move data in near real-time or micro batch
    • Understanding enterprise integration patterns
    • Creating automated API test using tools like ReadyAPI or Postman
    • Leading, coaching, and mentoring junior team members to enable progressive career development and an incredible employee experience
    • Building and scaling delivery teams from 0 to N consisting of a mix of dev, qa technical product management and business systems analysts
    • Understanding how inclusion & diversity is important to the success for any delivery team
    • Implementing/externalizing high volume, performant APIs
    • Data driven thinking – know how to infer metrics about the health & performance of a team and optimize around them
    • Understanding agile development methodologies
    • Communicating with and helping Digital Product Managers shape their backlogs
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
  • A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
